Wie organisieren sich Beschäftigte, wenn klassische Formen der Mitbestimmung in der Plattformarbeit an ihre Grenzen stoßen? Das Practice Paper richtet den Blick auf Basisgewerkschaften, Beschäftigtenkollektive und andere neue Formen der Selbstorganisation. Es zeigt, wie diese Initiativen Austausch, Vernetzung und demokratische Beteiligung ermöglichen – gerade auch für migrantische Plattformarbeiter*innen – und diskutiert zugleich, welche Unterstützung sie benötigen, um langfristig wirksam zu sein.

Democratic participation in the platform economy
A publication by the Polish Social Council e.V. (PSR) as part of the Kooperationsverbund für Vielfalt und Zusammenhalt (KVVZ)
How do workers organise themselves when traditional forms of co-determination in platform work reach their limits? This practice paper focuses on grassroots trade unions, workers’ collectives and other new forms of self-organisation. It shows how these initiatives facilitate exchange, networking and democratic participation – particularly for migrant platform workers – whilst also discussing the support they need to be effective in the long term.
